Welcome to the Department of Economics:

 
The department of Economics was established in the year 2001 and received Govt. Concurrence in the year 2004. At the time of establishment there was only one teacher who was   Romen Padun till date he has been serving as HOD. After a few days the GB of the college appointed another two teachers namely Tutumoni Bhuyan and Manoj kumar Dutta but later on Tutumoni Bhuyan resigned from her post and to fillup the vacancy Bishnu Prasad saikia was appointed. The subjects which has major permission there should be four numbers of teachers int department. So the GB appointed Mrs Archana Devi. Now there are four numbers of teachers. The teachers have been serving in the department for 16-22 years without govt. salary.
